The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity for a number of experienced software developers to join a complex, large-scale applications development programme within cyber security. Key Responsibilities: Software development using Java or C++. Working within applications software and focusing specifically within the Cyber and Big Data arena, you will be involved in the design, development, testing and debugging to create logical systems solutions. You will be responsible for the planning, design, development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for both product and commercial software. This role will also see you involved in areas such as analyzing systems capabilities, output requirements, input data acquisition and programming techniques and controls whilst ensuring software standards are met. Key Requirements: You should be able to demonstrate a solid background in design and development of software applications that seek to address challenging IT and Security requirements. Previous experience operating within an Agile environment and 1 year + in the following areas is also desirable: - Experience in either Java or C++- Proficiency in database programming (Oracle, SQL, MySQL)- Experience in Cloud Technologies (Hadoop, Accumulo, R, MongoDB) All applicants must be able to hold and maintain UK Government clearances.
