Our client is a leading global Advanced Crime Analytics and Risk Management specialist, providing crime fighting software used in investigations and intelligence operations by government agencies and financial institutions. The solutions they provide help solve and prevent crime, defend against advanced persistent cyber threats and counter terrorism.

Due to continued growth and success, our client are looking to take on an experienced Technical Services Consultant to join either their EMEA Technical Services team, specialising in Advanced Crime Analytics.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data analytics professional to provide software application consultancy, primarily to customers and secondarily to the Sales and Marketing teams.

Due to the nature of the work our client is involved in, SC security clearance must be obtainable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team of technical consultants in the implementation of our clients' Advanced Crime Analytics solution.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions with client IT and internal teams
  • Develop and deploy data transformation, modelling and mapping routines.
  • Provide application configuration and maintenance of internal systems
  • Delivering 1st & 2nd level application and technical support to local and international customers and partners
  • Manage resolution of issues within accepted service levels – receive and log requests for support via the helpdesk, other service delivery staff and/or users; investigate problems and other requests for support and determines appropriate actions to take; prioritises requests in accordance with agreed Service Levels
  • Customer interaction and training
  • Due to the nature of the work our client is involved in, SC security clearance must be obtainable

Essential Attributes:

  • Prior experience in implementation of data analytics solutions.
  • Experience in data analytics, data mapping, transformation and modelling using standard ETL tools
  • Experience with various structured and unstructured data
  • Experience on scripting languages (Python, Java)
  • Knowledge/experience of:
    • Windows server and Windows desktop operating systems
    • Database administration (MS SQL Server) - ability to run queries and updates, manage backups and restores etc.
    • Internet Information Services (configuring websites, application pools, security, SSL etc.)
    • Networking understanding (DNS, Proxy, TCP/IP, AD, LDAP, DHCP)
    • Host virtualisation (VMware experience)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance (SC, DV or CTC) will be required.
  • Applicant must be able to travel
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to work with users of all ability levels and understanding the needs of the customer
  • Strong Interpersonal skills - candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate complex technical issues to both peers and non-technical staff
  • Ability to work under pressure, fast pace learning, works with minimal supervision and assumes accountability
