Role Purpose:

My clients Business Consultants collaborate with end clients to identify, explain, design and implement the right solutions and processes for their business. Working as subject matter experts and trusted advisors, these Business Consultants are able to advise end clients in business terms about how to transform their business models using technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

In your work, you will be expected to deliver business consulting assignments (as well as support sales and pre-sales activities). This may include:

  • Developing and designing Business Operating Models (processes, policies, procedures, L2 to L5)
  • Improving business performance (e.g. Lean/Six Sigma, process analytics)
  • Reengineering business processes/ Business Process Management
  • Business Process Specialism – Sales & Marketing, Asset Mgt, Finance, Procurement, HR, Logistics/Supply Chain
  • Developing performance metrics and measures
  • Creating business cases and managing benefits
  • Managing business change within our clients – Workforce Engagement, Change Impact Assessment & Change Readiness
  • Designing new organisational structures
  • IT Package Selection
  • Exposure to a variety of industries e.g. Retail, Utilities, Manufacturing, Transport

Skills and Experience:

  • Above all -you will have excellent consulting skills:

o    You form strong and lasting relationships with clients and colleagues, and these interactions should be second nature to you

o    You demonstrate intellect and clarity of thinking to move quickly to the heart of a problem or requirement

o    Your ability to clearly articulate and present your ideas and solutions is essential

  • A strong academic and continuing professional development record, ideally a strong university background or a management qualification;
  • Demonstrable skills in Facilitation, Stakeholder Engagement, Creative Thinking, Presentation and Coaching. Desirable skills, experience and knowledge: Ideally you will have had previous experience within a consultancy role, either within a consulting company or an internal consulting team within a larger organisation, as well as;
  • Full lifecycle experience of ERP or CRM based programme lifecycles (SAP, Oracle and large scale custom build) and a knowledge of the supporting business processes;
  • Hands on experience of leading small teams of business consultants;
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries – Retail and Consumer Goods, Utilities, Manufacturing, Travel, Transport and Logistics, Central Government.
